The Georgia Tech chapter of Industrial Designers Society of America provides opportunities to gain professional experience through workshops, speakers, and networking with professional designers...WHILE HAVING FUN!
IDSA is the voice of the industrial design profession, advancing the quality and positive impact of design. We carry-on this vision at Georgia Tech and in the greater Atlanta area.
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT LIFE
As an undergraduate student in the School of Industrial Design, you will have opportunities to exhibit your work, study abroad, and compete in inter-collegiate design competitions. The School rests in the heart of Midtown Atlanta and is inextricably linked to the city's design scene. Students benefit from attending local shows and exploring Atlanta's cultural venues and unique neighborhoods.
In addition, many students engage in Georgia Tech's the vibrant campus life, with more than 400 clubs and organizations to choose from and ample opportunities to cheer on the Yellow Jackets.
GRADUATE STUDENT LIFE
In-class networking, through instructors who are well established leaders in their fields, lecture series featuring visiting scholars and practitioners, as well as research and exhibition opportunities keep graduate students connected and engaged with the design industry.
Graduate students also take leadership roles in Georgia Tech's chapter of Industrial Designers Society of America, organizing professional development programs and acting as a liaison to faculty and administration.
